Historia
¡Español ha existido en Colorado durante 5 milenio! At the History Colorado Center explore la historia de Colorado in both English and Spanish all the way through. Colorado was founded with a significant Spanish heritage and there are two parts to the History A through Z section that point that out: El Movimiento and Borderlands.
Arte
El museo de arte de Denver has bilingual exhibition guides throughout. Make sure to check out the pre-colonial and Latin American Art permanent collections!
Museo de las Americas hosts exhibitions that are often in Spanish originally and translated or originally bilingual. Offers free digital bilingual guides!
Ciencias
El museo de la naturaleza y ciencias has bilingual exhibits as well as Noches en Español!
Libros
Denver Public Library has many books (libros), audiobooks (audiolibros), CDs (musica), and DVDs (videos) in Spanish to check out. I highly recommend taking an excursion one day (especially with your children if you have children) and checking out the children’s library at the Denver Public Library Central branch where almost one third is books in Spanish. If you are not able to go there, you can also check out the entire section of books in Spanish for adults at that or most other Denver Library branches. There are also many online resources accessible through the Denver Public Library including Language Study resources.
*Also, don’t forget to check out the local restaurants of cuisine from countries where Spanish the predominant language spoken.
