Visual Math: Building Arrays! is designed so that children can master skip counting by 2s, 3s, and 5s thereby transitioning smoothly into multiplication, division and beyond. This stage occurs most commonly in children as early as age 3 and as late as age 7 although there are always exceptions. This activity is designed to use large motor skills so it is appropriate for those ages. However there is also a fine motor version of this activity available that does not take up as much space as the original version. In this activity children will improve on their basic number sense through building visually organized arrays. The large panels provide a tactile-visual sensory rich experience with a color coded structure introducing young children to basic number patterns!
